Firm where Donald Trump Jr. is a Partner and Frisbie Group Join Forces on $1 Billion South Florida Real Estate Fund
A new and potentially formidable partnership including the son of President Trump is set to make a significant impact on the South Florida real estate and development landscape. 1789 Capital, the investment firm where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner, is joining forces with the Palm Beach-based Frisbie Group to launch a $1 billion fund dedicated to real estate developments across the region.
According to a recent report by Bloomberg, the partnership has been in discussions with potential investors and is believed to have already secured commitments approaching the $1 billion target. The fund’s primary focus will be on projects in Palm Beach where the Frisbie Group has an established presence and Boca Raton where they are pursuing development opportunities. A representative for the partners declined to comment on the matter to Bloomberg.
The collaboration brings together notable figures from both the financial and real estate sectors. Donald Trump Jr. announced in November that he was joining 1789 Capital, a move he made instead of taking a role in his father’s second administration. The firm is co-led by Scott Martin and David Pulte.
Frisbie Group, headquartered in Palm Beach, is led by Rob Frisbie Jr. and Cody Crowell.
Of specific note of the development in Boca Raton, the Frisbie Group and Miami-based Terra have teamed up on the City Hall redevelopment program downtown. The plans include a major mixed-use development, downtown- including the controversial new government campus which would be built on an area that has previously been designated as a World War II memorial.
This project in addition to the new City Hall and government campus includes 350,000 square feet of office space, 152,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space as well as 912 residential units and a new parking garage.
